All the voters mobiles and their pens were left outside,as per rule.There was only one pen kept inside the booth,all were required to use the same pen,then how come there were invalid votes on account of using a different pen? There seems to have been a fraud by switching the pen ! Party general secretary is entitled to approach the election commission for repoll:The votes of 14 congress Ml As were declared Invalid leading to the defeat of Mr Anand,who was otherwise expected to win : There appears to be big conspiracy & the truth should come out immediately. The whole word,that has democratic Govts should a representative to India to learn all about the new practices that are employed in this country to win either by Fair means or foul mens. The misuse of Govt machinery in Rajya Sabha elections in Haryana has brought disgrace to this country. Democracy is not the best system and is not suitable to this country.For times immemorial rajas & maharajas were ruling this country and people are used to that. 27 of the 57 seats were up for SALE in Rajya Sabha elections. The EC should have countermanded the polls in Karnataka but decided to play safe:The upper house elections have really become messy:The indirect method of election to RS has failed. The issue of cross voting and un-controlled desertions have caused havoc. Unfortunately the anti defection law is not applicable to Rajya Sabha. The most important question that arises is "Is there a need to have an upper house?"Ambedkar,was not in favour of this. Gopla swamy iyengar actually introduced this proposal in the constituent assembly : They wanted a way to bring in failed candidates,important money bags,cronies,opposition party members(Ex Ministers) through the back door.The present political atmosphere in the country is not conducive for electoral reforms. The Rajya Sabha ,as it stands has become an obstacle to the enactment of progressive legislation.The GST Bill is a case in point. Though Ambedkar copied many things from the American constitution,he did not consider their method of constituting the senate(Upper house) & incorporate the same///
